Student worker jobs provide students with on-campus opportunities to gain valuable work experience related to their academic majors and interests. We will use your application to match you with our departments on campus. Please note that finding the right role for you may take some time.

Academic Support Peer Tutors- Peer Tutors help develop an enduring, trusting relationships with students and help them: 1) assist peers with course content area tutoring (in-person and/or virtually); and/or 2) with the transition from high school to college, 3) develop effective study strategies and life skills to implement within the classroom and outside of the classroom as students work toward individual academic and personal goals and 4) become more involved on campus by referring them to appropriate department and/or campus resources.
Access Center for Disability Resources- The Access Center SW position duties include administrative support to the Access Center for Disability Resources such as managing phone calls, email, faxes, and files and scheduling appointments. The position will represent the Access Center at various tabling events and other opportunities to share the process of requesting accommodations and general Access Center information. The position will also be responsible to create a welcoming environment to students and other visitors to the Access Center through window displays, organization of events, activities, giveaways etc.
Admissions/ Student Ambassadors-A student in Admissions would assist with answering phones and checking in students either in the Admissions suite or at the second floor information desk, entering data into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, providing campus tours, and general office needs such as filing, making copies, and preparing mail packets. They will also assist with event preparation.
Adult Education- Are you interested in meeting people from around the world? Adult Education student workers support 2,000+ learners from 40+ different countries who speak 30+ different languages! As a student worker in our fast-paced office, you'll play a key role in supporting students by answering phone calls, greeting visitors, and assisting with enrollment in our English Language Acquisition and High School Equivalency (GED) classes. You'll also help maintain student files and assist with general office tasks. Our office is located on the fourth floor of the Downtown Aurora campus. To best support our learners, candidates should be bilingual in Spanish. Join us and make a difference!
Art Lab Assistant- The Art Department is hiring Studio Assistants! We're looking for candidates who have taken beginning Art classes and are eager to gain hands-on experience working alongside our Art Coordinator and Lab Tech to support our department in serving it's community. Help with tasks as needed including: monitoring Open Studios, assisting with installation/documentation of gallery exhibitions & visiting artists, cleaning & maintaining studios, and maintenance/documentation of WCC's Permanent Art Collection.

Weight Room Supervisors, Marketing and Social Media, Live Streaming games, assisting with game stats and game day operations, Facility and Grounds. We will certify you in CPR/First Aid. *Business, Technology and Workforce Education- Welding Do you have an interest in welding technology and customer service and wish to pick up a few hours of daytime work during the week? The Welding Technology Lab Assistant position offers students the opportunity to support faculty in our Welding Technology program. This student worker is responsible for a range of duties in daytime operations and tasks that contribute to efficient and safe welding lab operations. Hours of support coincide with our some of our daytime classes and directly support WLD faculty and students. This position is a fantastic resume-builder for a variety of professional career opportunities!
*Campus Services- We are looking for students who want to help make Waubonsee a better place inside and out! Events, maintenance, and grounds keeping.
Community Engagement- As the Community Engagement student worker you'll be representing the college at external events within our district (think local community events, fairs, festivals, etc.) by staffing the Waubonsee table and talking to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members, promoting what Waubonsee Community College offers. This position will also support planning and executing partnership programs and events. While in the office you will help with filing, mailings, event prep and planning, and general administrative duties. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to gain valuable experience in office duties, brand awareness, event coordination and community outreach.
Counseling and Student Support- Do you have an interest in mental health and wellness and a passion for supporting your peers? Join a team of Peer Support Leaders that promotes mental health wellness to our campus community. Must maintain a GPA of 3.0 during employment.
Development and Alumni Relations - The Development and Alumni Relations Office is seeking a student worker! We support fundraising efforts for Waubonsee student scholarships through the Waubonsee Foundation and manage alumni relations. As a student worker, you'll assist with general administrative tasks, help prepare for meetings and events, assemble materials and packets, and attend events when available. This flexible position offers valuable experience in office operations, fundraising support, donor relations, and event coordination.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)- The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Student Worker plays a vital role in supporting and advancing the college's commitment to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment at Waubonsee. This position provides an exceptional opportunity for motivated and passionate students to actively contribute to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives on campus by supporting the Senior Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Coordinator with planning and executing programs, workshops, trainings, and events. Human Resources (HR)- Do you have a passion for helping people? Do you have strong communications skills, and value the ability to effectively engage employees? Do you want to grow your career in Human Resources? We have a great opportunity for you in Human Resources! You will assist our HR Department with employee engagement, recruitment and employee development.

Student Life- Looking for a dynamic, hands-on experience that builds your event planning, marketing, and public speaking skills? The Student Life office is a fast-paced, energetic environment where you'll participate in a variety of exciting opportunities.
Student Services- Student Services is seeking a student employee to assist with staffing various alumni events, conducting alumni-related research, and gathering alumni data via social media (Facebook Twitter, LinkedIn). Applicants should be proficient with social media, have some knowledge/skill using spreadsheets, and have strong interpersonal skills. This position will develop one's knowledge and skill in providing quality customer service, strengthen one's attention to detail by working with data and spreadsheets, and enhance one's ability to plan and implement events.
Student Success and Retention- Come join the team as our Student Success Ambassador! As our Ambassador you'll be helping us with customer service, data entry/documentation, student outreach (phone/email/text), appointment scheduling, intake, event support, and special projects.
